Once she got her degree, she worked in human resources for several years before she quit to become a full-time author. She would then go to Lebanon Union High School and then proceeded to study Business Administration at Oregon State University. While she attended elementary school in Salem, she loved going to the Salem Public Library where she would devour all manner of books.
